Vitamin E

Vitamin E is used cosmoceutically to accelerate wound healing, to prevent hypertrophic scarring, and to decrease pruritis. Vitamin E maintains the integrity and stability of intracellular membranes and has anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory properties. Topical Vitamin E is used with moist gauze to reduce local bacterial growth by lowering pH. Silicone-Vit E formulation applied for improved healing outcome.

Vitamin C

 Topical lipid soluble Vitamin C stimulates collagen genes to synthesize collagen in order to heal the wounds. Various studies have demonstrated the role of fatty acids and anti-oxidants such as Vitamin C, in the wound-healing process.
Combination silicone with Vitamin E oil provides non-adhesive suitable formulation to maintain wound moisture.
