Matrixyl 3000 Peptides – The Super Peptide

In simple terms, a peptide is a short amino acid chain. We naturally produce peptides and our bodies use it for regeneration of the skin. Now, bare with me, this is just the simplified version and the science is a lot more complicated and we are talking about skin care.  As we age, we produce less of everything and our skin repair process is more sensitive to damage from environmental sources, like the sun or pollution.

In a 2013 study by the University of Readings Department of Chemistry, they found that specifically Matrixyl doubles the amount of collagen protein in the skin. Matrixyl is palmitoyl-pentapeptide 3 and also stimulates collagen sythesis and skin repair but as far as skin care needs go, everyone is always wants something a little bigger and better.  A little more powerful.

So then the super charged Matrixyl 3000 was born. What is Matrixyl 3000? The Matrixyl 3000 peptide is a long-term solution that stimulates skin repairs and collagen synthesis. It is a combination of two peptides: palmitoyl oligopeptide and palmitoyl-tetrapeptide-7. In the study done by Sederma on the Matrixyl 3000 compound, they found the following results:

Wrinkles: reduced 15% in depth, 18% in volume, 44% in the area covered and 37% in density

Roughness: reduced by 14%

Complexity: reduced by 18%

Skin tone: increased by 15%

The real kicker is why these amino acids are combined and why can’t you just use each individually. The Matrixyl 3000 compound was created because when these two amino acids work together (synergistic effect) they produce a much stronger effect in the skin.  It actually replicates the collagen breakdown process in our skin, which makes our skin keep producing more collagen.

This is glorious for our wrinkles and our skin elastin and rejuvenates the dermal structure of the skin! But, just on its own, Matrixyl 3000 can only go so far which is why in skin care they need to be used in conjunction with other specialized ingredients. So, now the question comes in how much to use? In all skin care products, you have a concentration level that is optimal. This is very important to know because more is not always best. The recommended concentrations are 3% in formulations but can range anything from 1% to 8%.

Ok, so now we have the good news, what’s the bad news? Surely there must be bad news? Surprisingly according to the study by the University of Reading there is no bad news. Yip, you heard right. No side effects. We take it with a pinch of salt even though my heart did skip a beat there. The short-term studies of Matrixyl 3000 are shown to be safe and have no side effects. The long-term studies are still underway because it is a relatively new compound in the science world.

Matrixyl 3000 is your revitalizer ingredient and we use it in combination with Vitamin C and Glutathione in our formulations. This little trio forms our base for our Nucarro formulations to give your skin a combination of boosts that it needs to function optimally.
